Circular economy"The growing industrialization in South East Asian region is constantly increasing the demand for packaging options to increase the shelf life of products and maintain their quality for a long time. This has made flexible packaging an immensely significant part of various industries like food and beverage, consumer electronics, etc. and with the growth in these industries, the Southeast Asia Pacific flexible packaging market is expected to thrive in the coming years. However, the stringent regulations regarding raw materials and recyclability can severely hamper the market growth in the projected period. Plastic is a major component of the flexible packaging market and lately, this segment has witnessed some concerns regarding increasing pollution, its non-biodegradable issue, etc. that can severely impact this market's performance in Southeast Asia Pacific countries.

Recycling, reuse, circularity, circular economy"According to the reliable industry market research data, only 14 percent of plastics are recycled, resulting in a loss of as much as $120 billion a year to the global economy. In recent months, some of the world's biggest brands and plastics manufacturers have issued bold challenges to create new supply chains from plastic waste. It's a critical start, but success will require broad, global engagement among companies, governments, policy makers and others to create a truly circular plastics economy. It's against the above-mentioned industry background that we are launching out the upcoming Indo Pacific Circular Plastics Summit 2023, which will gather a good amount of industry professionals and decision makers coming from all across the plastics value chain, including brand owners or end users, discussing circular plastics development from perspectives of chemical/petrochemical, machinery, supply chain, technology innovation, R&D and recycling, etc.
