Carmina Burana is a scenic music composed by Carl Orff in 1935-1936. His full name, in Latin, is Carmina Burana: Cantiones profanae cantoribus and Choris cantandae comitantibus nimbus instrumentis atque imaginibus magicis, or "Poems Beuren: secular songs for singers and choruses to be sung with instruments and magic images." Carmina Burana is a part of Trionfi, a musical trilogy that also includes the cantatas Catulli Carmina and Trionfo di Afrodite. The most famous movement is the chorus O Fortuna, both the first and last movement of the work.
