Hakodate, a historic port city, is the southern gateway to Hokkaido. With its exotic streetscapes, fresh food, and hot springs, it has been chosen as the location for the Asia-Pacific Laser Symposium (APLS). The APLS is a bi-annual event held in Japan, Korea, and China, where scientists, engineers, and students gather for academic discussions and information exchanges on laser science and technology. This year, the APLS in Hakodate is sponsored by the Laser Society of Japan, the Optical Society of Korea, and the Chinese Optical Society.

The International Conference on Solid State Devices and Materials is a highly regarded global event focusing on the science and technology of devices and materials. It encompasses a broad range of subjects to foster vibrant discussions among diverse communities.

Contributions from any area of analytical sciences and technologies are welcome for poster presentations. The poster session will cover topics such as analytical instruments, sample preparation methods, and data analysis. Submissions from academic, public institutional, and industrial researchers, as well as ongoing projects and proposals of collaboration, are welcome. JASIS 2023, the largest Japanese Exhibition on Analytical Instruments, will be held in Makuhari-Messe, offering scientific and technology discussions and showcasing cutting-edge analytical technology. Transportation options include direct airport limousine bus services and train from Tokyo Station.
